Breathing Space's 'Mindfulness for Health' programme teaches Mindfulness Based Approaches (MBAs) to help prevent relapse into depression and addiction and to manage stress and anxiety. Breathing Space is run by the London Buddhist Centre, a long established registered charity. Since it was initiated in 2004 by Dr Paramabandhu Groves, an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist, the programme has helped more than 600 people. Our teachers are trained and supervised by Dr Groves and have extensive experience of mindfulness practice and teaching. We have run 17 MBA courses and some 20 retreats and 150+ drop-in sessions for carers. All our courses and retreats are monitored and evaluated. We have a strong track record of working alongside mental health professionals in East London.
