Breathing Space London

mindfulness for health

Our teachers

Our teachers have extensive experience of teaching and practising mindfulness meditation. They have gained this experience through lengthy training to be members of the Triratna Buddhist Community, a thriving Buddhist movement. Meditation is a key part of the daily practice of Buddhists, and has been shown by medical research in recent years to have many positive benefits on physical and mental health. Our teachers are volunteers - giving of their time and expertise freely as an act of generosity. They are supervised and trained by Dr Paramabandhu Groves, a NHS consultant psychiatrist specialising in addiction. Dr Groves initiated the Breathing Space programme at the London Buddhist Centre.
