Stress Busters: Three Minute Breathing Space

Our participants agree that this tool is a “life saver”. It’s the tool that you can use anytime and anywhere when overwhelmed or in anxiety.  It’s known as a circuit breaker as it stops us from entering the fear, flight or fight stress response. Instead, it calms us down and enables us to take stock, and respond to our situation calmly and confidently.

Dharmavartin first discovered the Buddha’s teachings at the age of 18, and discovered the London Buddhist Centre in 2012. He has been a firefighter in London for 30 years. He says, “I have used the Three Minute Breathing Space at work, before having to communicate effectively in meetings. It’s a useful and quick way to become grounded and effective in the world.”
